Community Impact Projects
Monroe County Health Check –
Objective: Collaborative effort with community partners offering low-cost health screenings at four Monroe County locations during the spring months.
Monroe County Health Plan–
Objective: Offer health care to uninsured Monroe County residents between the ages of 18 and 64 previously receiving services under the Michigan’s Adult Benefit Waiver program.
Active Balanced Community –
Objective: Engage our community and its resources in the ongoing effort to create a healthy and protective environment in Monroe County that encourages responsible families and positive behaviors in youth.
Project Ramp–
Objective: Build barrier-free ramps for those residents of Monroe County in need.
Youth Educational Construction Program–
Objective: A collaborative project through Monroe Public Schools, Habitat for Humanity and United Way of Monroe County to provide decent and affordable housing and quality educational skill building experience for MPS students.
2-1-1 –
Objective: Provide assessment, referrals to health and human care services and follow up. Acts as an advocate when needed.
Volunteer Action Center–
Objective: Match volunteers with organizations in need of services.
